Will that stuff cut with a knife if you ever need to get in there?

you should easily be able to cut herc with a knife if you have to pull the tranny cover. Its just a rubberized coating

My 92 YJ, not too many modifications. 3 switches on the dash for off road lights and dome light on the sound bar. clinometer on the dash and Extra speakers in the doors.

Wiring hidden fairly decent.

Ha, if you look at my pictures on the last page, I have a Sony deck just like that too.

red92yj... you could try employing my 'Dome Light Shut Off switch' so you don't have to have a switch on your dash for the dome. I wired in a light on the soundbar and hooked it into the door switch so it goes on with the doors too.

I spliced mine into the actual interior light under the dash. So not only does the light go on when the door opens but it goes on when I turn the dimmer switch.

Yeah, when I wired in my dome shut off switch, I wired my roll-bar dome to be on the same circuit as the dimmer switch.

Love that extra light when I have no hard top. What a god send.

I like it on the dash with a switch, it's easier to find in the dark when driving than the dome switch. Yeah I know shouldn't be turning it on when driving but I don't usually pull over when changing CD's, bad habit.

It does a good job, sounds good. The clock on it is too small for my old eyes to read that's why there is the travel clock stuck to the dash with velcro.

Can anyone tell me what works best to clean the interior door panels and dash? I have the usual gray dash and door panels that just seem to keep the dirt on them no matter what I try.

I just wipe mine down with 2001 made by turtle wax and they stay pretty clean, they shine real nice too.

But what about cleaning it? The 2001 is a great prtectant but does not get the grime and grease out.

Yep - that's right.
A TJ dash in my 87 YJ.
Still in the works...but the dash is bolted in and ready to wire.

Had to swap in order to use my TJ guage cluster for the new motor.

Sorry - I don't know how to show the image in the post.
