Exactly as it states, recommend me a fuel regulator that will last and is accurate. I have read about getting a mr gasket one from the local parts store but see mixed reviews.
SO, what do you recommend???? -Rusty ![]()

I use the Mr.Gasket. Just make sure to put thread sealant on the input and outputs because it will (somewhat obviously) leak. That said, I plan to put on an electric fuel pump sometime and would likely put on a holley regulator at the same time.

Buy a hooly one there like $30 from jeggs, I have a mr gasket one . its not even a year old & its malfunctioning, it stops my fuel flow all together. if I play with the pressure setting it starts working again. so I just orered a holley #510-12-804 & pressure gauge # 55-41040. My buddy runs one on his hot rod and has never had any problems with it. the MR gasket one just seems very CHEAPLY made.

x2. I would also like to know... since the PO didn't know anything about carbs and just put the weber on with no regulator.

Here you go Rusty.
http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS/555/41040/10002/-1 I use the same regulator and similar type of gauge. Make sure you get the standard regulator (1-4 psi). Weber only needs 2.5-3 psi. Ricky |

I tried one, not sure who makes it, and it wouldn't run when cold. I put it in one night after work when the heep was warm and it seemed to run fine. The next morning when it was cold it started but i got 100 yds down the road and it wouldn't start. Does anyone have experience with their weber jets being too rich????????

In the last pic you can see the adjustment screw on the regulator.
Just loosen the nut then adjust the screw with an allen key. I believe in is less and out is more. |

I've been using my Mr. Gasket one for two years, no problems. But I will say I don't like the hose clamps that come with the kit, use some normal screw-band clamps ones like on the radiator hoses.

Somewhat of a departure, but not quite: Do I need a FPR with my MC2100? I'm just running the stock line into the carb with no regulator, and am still using the factory return line.
Thanks for any input. |
