when i wired mine i hard wired them to the battery so i could use them when the heep wasnt running. but there is a way to wire them into the switch so they can only go on when your lights are on but i dont know how

I tapped a lead going to a running lamp, ran that to my driving light switch, then to the relay. That way, even if the switch for my driving lamps is on, they'll only get juice if the parking lamps are on as well. Hope that makes sense.

can the wires from the kc lights be spliced with the driving lights so i dont have to run any more wires? then when i turn the switch for the driving lights the kc lights come on, i s that possible?

P.S. how do you put pics on here?

YOu would more than likely need a relay in between...

Here is what I would do is run a 12 ga wire to each one to a relay that will handle the amps of them combined.
100 watt should be about 10 amps for both, 130 will be about 15 amps and 150 watts should be about 20 amps. To the relay use piece of 10 ga wire for the power lead with a fuse. To the switch you can use 16 ga wire for that.

For those who have not figured this out I'm old school but can handle the new too.

When you say original fog lights, I assume you have a Sahara? Seems to me that was the only model that came with fog lights from the factory. The only comment I have on that, is that you should be aware that the fog lights do not operate if your brights are on. If they are factory lights, they are wired to turn off if you turn on your brights. May not be an issue to you, but I thought you should be aware. Personally, I'd run new wiring, relay, and switch so it works when you want it to work. If you want to do the wiring job twice, don't install a relay.

There's never enough time to do the job right, but there's always time to do it over.

go to kc's website , they have a diagram of the way they should be installed. i wouldnt tap into the factory wiring because of the amp draw, youll short out your switch. what wattage did you get, i got the 150's so i used a 40 amp relay
