Left and right hand threads. The center section is used to adjust.

The tre at the pitman arm has left hand threads, if the drag link is put in right, what does that make the tre, an inny or outty?

Not so much on a Jeep. But look at most cars and some vans they have a true inner and outer TRE on both sides of the steering.

It's neither just a TRE with left hand threads.
