Info on chevy 1/2 ton leaf spring packs

A nice while back I read somewhere about dismantling a set of 1/2 ton 2wd Chevy leaf spring packs and using two leafs in the YJ's front springs and two in the rear to give some amount of arch back to the OE springs. I've searched and searched and I can't find it anywhere.

Does anyone recall which leaves from the 1/2 ton go in the front and which to the rear?

Thanks in advance....

Jeff

I have access to a set of 6in lift 1/2 ton chevy springs also.
I measured the front springs and they are 2.5 in wide and exactly
45.25 in which seems to be the same as my YJ springs.
I am planning on taking out two leafs on each and repacking them
to gain a bit more Flex for the lighter weight of my YJ.
Although I have a hardtop 4.0l i may just take out one of each.
I will post a build thread as I go with 'em.

I should be getting the springs out of the Chevy truck this evening.
I'll have more info on them later tonight.

I've been looking for numbers on those leaf spring lengths myself..if you could verify that 45.25" on the chevy spring I'd appreciate it.
