Inexpensive jerry can holder?

Looking to mount 2 jerry cans to my YJ but I don't feel like spending hundreds of dollars for simple welding.. I would prefer to mount them on each side of my spare tire but IDK how.. Can you guys give me some ideas?

Do you have the cans already? I ask because there are other options for fuel storage.

Anti, im new to the whole jeep thing and offroading actually, what other alternatives for fuel storage are there? All i hear is that plastic bottles flex and dont hold pressure well, my little one gallon blows up to a balloon after a full day of sun exposure.

I have the kolpin 4 gallon jobber but the rotopax are versatile as are the daystar cam cans. Its thick plastic and dot approved.

yeah, my grandfather has a few German WWII red gas cans, I want to mount 2 of them to my jeep. Chances are I'll end up fabbing something up but I need some ideas of where to put them!

You don't want nazi gas in the grandson of the vehicle that won the war. That's like denying the holocaust ever happened.

Do you have a tire carrier bumper or is it still hanging on your tailgate?

Send a pic of your jeep. Why not just strap a spare gas can to the fender?

If you want to mount them to your tail gate with your spare tire . You may have to reinforce our tailgate hinges and latch . 10 gallons of liquid is a lot of weight .
My 2 cents

You can always try this...

I have one and I just use the one can and hi-lift but you could buy the bracket for another can.
