Here's how mine sits today... She's not pretty, but it'll do most anything I ask. Right now I'd be happy to finish the tube fenders, build the front and rear tube flares, and get it in paint. Once that's done and it's a bit more presentable, there are a ton of mods in various stages... If I quit thinking and buying right now, I could keep busy for six months with stuff that is either waiting or "in process".

swapping out the yj square headlights is like cutting the door way on a cj5 and using cj7 doors.

Maybe so, but I'm a big boy. I don't like trying to squeeze myself through CJ5 doors.

All kidding aside, you guys sound like the CJ7 guys who freak out when somebody replaces their worn out and rusted C-channel CJ7 frame with a YJ frame. There is nothing wrong with it. YJ frames are stronger and they have better suspension. It's the same kind of deal. Personally, I like the way YJs look, but I also like the way CJs look. I've owned CJ7s, a CJ5, and my YJ. I've had my YJ since 1999... It was time for a different look. If you look at the pictures, try to keep in mind that all the original body parts are red. Everything else is not from my YJ. Yep, just the cowl and windshield frame...
