You know unfortunately in this day in time nothing is sacred and everything has been done and you won't be unique just find what you like and do it. And yes even the low rider with 20's has been done

Who ever slammed that yj to the ground should be shot twice. One for actually thinking of doing it , and the second in the face for doing it.

It looks good now, but its yours do what you want, my opinion though is keep the squares. YJs are different to begin with anyway because of the headlights.

I think ill do it... Stock cj genders, which I don't have, or make tube fenders with new tubing bender?

Your YJ fenders will work with the CJ grill and hood. But tube fenders look killer with a CJ grill

I agree (I may be a bit biased though...).

I'm getting a kick out of the boys who are telling you that you won't be welcome if you switch grills... If somebody wants to jeep their vehicle as a "numbers matching, exactly as produced" time capsule I think that's great, but I'd be willing to bet that there are at least a few items on their Jeeps that stray from the day they were assembled... That being said hypocrites have a tendency to talk crap from time to time and I know that they don't speak for me.

Even if you wanted to bag it and go tail drag'in, it is your Jeep; although, if you were to do such a thing, I wouldn't recommend asking opinions of it unless you had pretty thick skin.

What it really boils down to is what you want. I've done a ton of mods to mine that have made people scratch their heads and ask why I went to so much trouble over what they felt was trivial, but I can say without reservation that I like it. And since my name is on the title, that's really all that matters.
