WOOHOO!!!! took jeep to the beach yesterday!! the two main problems that were at issue were the head gasket and the cps, both give very similar symptoms. After i fixed the head gasket, the problems continued till i tracked down a wiring prom in the cps....thanks for all the help guys!! you f**king rock!!!

im coding 23 still and have already replaced the sensor. is it the ecm or a wiring prob? im assuming there is a short.

It could also be an "open" meaning a broken wire. Even if a wire looks OK on the outside it can still be broken on the inside. So you're gonna have to check for continuity between the CPS connector and the ECU.

You already did the head gasket, so now yer down to just this one thing.

Did you do the battery reset after you repaired it? You need to pull the battery connection for a long 10 count to clear the fault codes.
