I want to find out about my lift.
1990 YJ. L6 258 2bbl carb (aftermarket)
I have had a either a hard time finding parts or more expensive prices seemingly because of the year soley. Can anyone vouch for this?

First off, how can I tell/measure how much of a lift I have, if any? I'm looking to replace the shocks. At there are multiple "lengths" due to lifts and I have no idea which length I should buy.

Second, my bleeder tube for my clutch slave cylinder just "fell" out. I'm trying not buy a new cylinder, seeing as its just a matter of the retaining clip. Any ideas if I can fabricate said clip? Or where to buy one? Dealerships are no help at this age of a vehicle.

I hope I have effectively uploaded an image of my current jeep and its lift.

Pictures help a little but not much, you need to bust out your tape measure.

Read here in the FAQ:

It has stock rocker heights, which you can use to figure out how close to stock you are. You'll have to factor in difference in tire height as well if you use the rocker height method.

I apologize, but a lot of that thread doesn't make sense to me. I know this may sound odd, but I've literally built almost this entire jeep from the ground up. I'm not necessarily familiar with areas the thread is suggesting I measure. From the ground to the highest most point on my soft top reads 75". That suggests to me that I may have a lift. But again, I'm not sure how to measure it or where from.

More importantly is my slave cylinder. I'm pretty sure it doesn't need replacing. I just need the little clip that keeps the bleeder tube in the unit. If I can either fabricate something or spend less than $10, as opposed to $100+ for a new cylinder, I really rather do that.

Measure to the bottom of the rocker panels.

Once again, I hate to sound ignorant, but what are the rocker panels? And from there, where do I measure to? I'm sorry guys. I'm not that knowledgable.

The bottom of the tub under the doors

Thank you. If anyone else has some tips or info on my other questions that would be the tits!

So I measured to the bottom of the tub. Based on an earlier response with a link to a thread, it says that ground to rocker panels is 18" for stock. Does this sound right? I included a pic (hopefully successfully) of my jeep. I measured 24". Does this look like a 6" lift to you? I'm not so sure.

I think I just saw a ghost
