i need help!!!!!

90 yj with 95 4.0 motor swap

ax15
np231 t case with mega short sye
4.88 gears open diffs
dana 35 rear
dana 30 front

spring over axle lift on 35s

I kept snapping u joints on my rear driveshaft
so I bought a sye and new drive shaft and im still snapping u joints when I go mudding

I thought the sye would fix this issue but it didn't....after looking at my jeep a little bit closer I noticed im getting a lot of axle wrap is there anything I can do to fix this?

add leafs to rear leafsprings?
ladder bar?
new leaf springs?

thanks for the help

Sprung over suspensions generally have axle wrap issues when exposed to high torque situations, doesn't matter if it's a Jeep or an old muscle car; you're going to need a traction/anti-wrap bar. It's pretty easy to make your own, but there are bolt in kits avaliable.

Word of advice though: if you're going through the trouble of fabricating and welding in a traction bar, don't do it to the Dana 35, get yourself an 8.8 in there.

Pics of the rear axle with pinion angle and all please.

Oh, and I may as well have a picture of your steering while we are at it.
