I made a hood mount for hi lift jack.
Pretty simple, economic, and decent looking I think.
Check it out. ![]() ![]() ![]() clipse

Thanks. How did you make it? Did you just drill holes and mount some metal or did you have to bend that?

Got my eye on you.....

Looks to me like it is all angle iron. He just cut and drilled holes.

I like that better than the rear tire carrier mount I made. I may steal that design!

The only thing i don't like about mounting mine to the hood was thinking before i did it now i can't rest the hood up against the windshield when i need more room to work under the hood.
I should of mounted it on the rear tire swingaway mount. But yours looks great at least you didn't drill into the hood. Just some simple mounts to the factory hinge mounts....way to go! |

![]() ![]() I mounted it to the back of the hood hinges, followed the same design that you used. I put it on then noticed that the way I had it turned blocked the window pee'ers. So I flipped the brackets and it worked great. ![]() ![]() I like it better than the rear carrier I had built. Less stress on the tire carrier, plus I can get a sweet Skull and Cross Bones tire cover. Now the hundred dollar question..... Where can I find one? |

Look really good and I really like the idea. I think I might have to steal that idea as well.
Can you open the hood like that? If I am looking at it right. Did you mount it to the back of the hinge? |

I did mount it on the back side of the hinge. I can still open the hood, about an inch past the prop rod location. If I take the jack off I can get it to be straight up and down.

Ok. I was just wondering about that. No big deal really. I was wanting to do this and I didn't know where I wanted to mount it. Where it be on the front of the hinge or the back. Thanks for the reply.

good job, I think I might be the next in line to steal your idea if I can find any angle iron in the shop at our farm. Thanks for the idea
