Also, I made a mount for my CB using the stock ashtray holder:

I just had to drill out the rivets that hold in the metal ashtray bracket to get it out to make room for the CB. Perfect fit.

All of these projects and more are in my "build" thread:

WOW I cannot believe I didn't think of that! I have the exact same CB and I hacked apart my ashtray to make it fit. I cut off the cigarette lighter portion by itself because I didn't want to lose that part and bolted it back in. It definitely looks ghetto compared to that. Now I need to hit up the junkyard and find another one and do it right this time around.

I had to install the ashtray/lighter unit first, then mount the CB. If you try to mount it all as one unit, the CB ends up blocking some of the mounting bolts.

Again like stated before, the picture is at a weird angle. You can't really tell that he is or isn't in the path. Or can you tell if we are really are pulling in. I believe when the photo was taken, we were given the winches a slight break. His head was pulled in most of the time just relaying messages to me.

The toyota had grenaded his front pinion before the last climb out. We had to start winching him from the very bottom. The last climb at BV carnage doesn’t screw around as seen in this pictures. Your D35 would break just by looking at this hill.

Neither his or my cable would have been able to reach by going through a snatch. So we pulled with two winches. It work so well, that we kept the set up the same.

whatever man, enjoy your wheeling, i know our group cares and is careful on safety, what would i do, i count 8 people in that pic, so that means there is more than the 2 rigs, wireless winch contoller, snatch to another vehicle and be away from mine, anything on a high risk pull we definatly watch how we do it. Winch at a rest whatever, from the time a load is applied to a winch you should consider that line to be a loaded gun with the safety off, plain and simple. And you really think that the speed at which that line comes when it breaks will be stopped by the hood or anything else, the 2 most dangerous tools we use are winches and hi-lifts, when used correct they are great, but even then, are still dangerous.

But what do i know, few years of hardcore wheelin at paragon, oh and doing their safety there, but im a idiot. A little stop and look around will do you wonders

Side View Mirrors

I wanted to use the skid row relocation brackets and the new MOPAR side view mirrors. Problem was they did not fit together. Solution ended up being to have a machine shop make up some aluminum adapters that would attach the two. The mirrors have an internal spring which I retained so as to provide some resistance when the through bolt was tightened up. I had to drill a hole through the top of the mirror arm so I can put the bolt through. Works well. I look at the passenger mirror through the windshield when the doors are on.

Finished wiring my offroad lights, put a couple of switches where the cig lighter used to be, and swapped the ashtray for a power inverter.

They are Hella 500's, 55w each I think. Factory alternator, though I need to get a new battery.

I made a couple things for security. First a center console. Made if 16 gauge steel and fully welded. Also put ARB switches, dome lights, and i've since put an in cab winch control on it. It's painted with hammered finish, and I had some camo vinyl wrap laying around so I threw that on the top. Sorry about the cell phone pics.

Dont have a good pic of it installed yet. Next I made a rear storage drawer, I tried to make it look as finished off as I could. And also decided to mount my 10" sub and 2 6x9 speakers at an angle right behind the seats. The top and doors are off all summer and it's hard to hear the radio. Now I can hear it no problem.

Let me know what you think.
