I like it a lot! You have dimensions or just went on a whim?

I built it around 4 years ago and built it to the stock cross/skid. I added the holes to drain all the sand and mud that collects up there, added the smaller skid plate, made it so I can drop the plate and keep the cross member installed.....use to bolt the trans directly to the 3/8 plate. Also welded the nuts on top so I don't have to hold with a wrench.

I could get dimensions if you wanted. It weighs around 75lbs ... Or more.

The scooby touch just makes it different

I built side sliders. thinking I may add aluminum plates to the top to stop road crap from throwing all over the side of the jeep. Would like to make them removable for wheelin! Bumpers are next![IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]

Tablet mount! I decided I would bring my YJ out of the Stone Age yesterday I sat around brainstorming ideas when this hit me. I took extra strong Velcro, a cabinet drawer slider, and a tablet I have that I hardly use and don't mind keeping it in my jeep. Only thing I still need to do is paint the slider black and I'll be good to go! This was all done without any damage to the dashboard!

How does the tablet attach to the slider?

What's the purpose of the slider? Seems as if it would fling all over the place.

OK. I'm going to sound like a Negative Nelly here, but mounting computers into vehicles is one of the things my company does for a living. What you have there is an injury waiting to happen. In a collision, that tablet becomes a projectile.

If you are serious about safely mounting a tablet in your YJ, here's where you start:

I am available via PM if you have any questions.

Lol if I got in an accident in my yj, getting hit in the head with a tablet would be the least of my worries.

Started on my Swingout Tire Carrier. I still have to make the mount for the tire and a brace to snug down (lock) the Jerry Cans, then I'll have to take it all apart and paint it. It came out pretty good. It's extremely strong and I braced the mounts on the tube with 3/8" steel plates. Next weekend it will be time to build the role cage (I'm adding onto the existing factory role bar).
