i used ammo cans for tool storage areas and junk storage areas.

whats good about this set up is that when i take the top off and lock the tail gate, you cannot open the ammo cans because the latch won;t pop with the tail gate in the way so they are locked up nice and tight.

i used the stock jack mount and drilled the welds on the top piece to just get the bolt on pieces and welded those to the ammo can. it sits tilted so everything doesn;t fall out, doesn;t hit the hood or seam, and is solidly mounted using the factory holes

I don't feel like working on anything at this time so i sold my yj.

rear FOLD DOWN Tire Rack

wanted a easily remove able tire rack that did not cost me a fortune. I came up with a rear fold down and out rack that when done, will also include a mount for a rack/basket above the tire for coolers and such.

There is a stainless steel bar behind the orange safety triangle I use to lift the assy up, it is quite easy for me to lower, raise and secure the whole thing alone.

I run 35" BFG's and did not want to replace my rear smittybuilt tube bumper so I modified it to take the fold down carrier. In hind sight I would increase the gap on the hinge assy on the rack itself, but otherwise it all works great, been 8 months no rattles or issues.

padded center console with cup holders.

Did the ammo can console added a comfy cushioned top to it in yellow to go with the John Deere theme on my jeep. Included a ignition kill switch inside the console, as well as a lock that uses both a combination or key to open it, handy when at the beach and dont want the keys in the sand! Used high density foam from auto upholstery supply shop and marine grade vinyl for covering. should have done a better job on corners, oh well next time! perfect height when driving only move my wrist to shift not my entire arm! bonus is cup holders down low, not in way of shifter.

My shackles are right where JEEP intended them to be! The bumper just sits 6" lower than the frame to protect the steering box! I know it looks a little weird haveing the shackles sticking out like this, but look at any YJ bumper and you'll notice the shackles dont jive with the bumper. The one thing that concerns Me about My bumper design is, if I hit a car, Im going to drive over top of it and My shackles will open it up like a can opener!
