My dad before he gave me his old Jeep made his own security box for the back. Its made of wood and is secured by two bike chains (but more secure) that run through the box and it has a padlock to lock it. Its pretty secure too.

fixed the compressor by spraying wd-40 in it, now the horn works great. Now all i need is some stars and bars painted on the hood and I'm set to jump all kinds of stuff

finishing touches on posi-loc

I got rid of the whole vac diaphram end soldered a 1/2 copper end to keep out the water. Its a lot better than keeping on the ugly diaphram housing that could leek

I made a LED dome light out of a cheapo Kragen light. It's so bright I need to wear a hat. About 32,000 MCD combined.

Used a Wilderness rack from a 4-Runner, and bolted it to the roll bars. I used some 2" BL mounts that I ground down to fit the roll bar, and some nifty clamps I found at Home Depot.

Also it fits under the garage door.

They're 20mm cans.

Was wondering some details about a few things:

1. What's the name of the device you've got attached to the wall to do that? I cant find it at my local hardware store.

2. How are you keeping the hard top from sagging (keeping it level)?

I have seen the ratchet pulley for boat trailers at Harbor Frieght that will do the same thing. That's what I was going to use for mine, but just added more pulleys and now I can hoist it with one hand, and tie it off to a boat cleat mounted on the wall.

Thanks, I'll take a look for ratchet pulleys. Maybe they'll know what I'm talking about if I describe it (again).

There's a whole album. Some are of the build, some are final pics. Beware though, in the final pics, I still had the silver headlight bezels on. (They're long gone now).

You could use one of the small ATV winches - something between 500 and 1000 pounds. They're super cheap and its automated! Since the top weighs nowhere near that much, you could probably gear the pullies so that it works pretty fast, at least as fast as your hand would crank.

something like this http://www.winchdepot.com/PDT37053.aspx
