I love major problems!!!! Guage issue...

So I on a whim I decided I wanted to get my factory temp gauge working again. I went down to the local auto parts store and purchased a new probe... I got home, found the location of the old probe, and removed it. turns out that the idiot that put in in before me stripped the hell out of it and the "hole." so now I have a wonderful gaping hole in the head and no way to seal it back up. \

Now my question is, can I just drill and tap new threads and just use a sunpro with the larger probe? Or drill and tap and cap it off and hope there is a better place for a sunpro probe?

I <3 used vehicles....

btw the OEM system is effed. So aftermarket gauge is the only way to go at this point...

You want to come up for some air there.First I would drill and tap in a larger unit you start drilling in the wrong spot and you will be looking for a a replacement. Second if you wanted to use oem parts a brass bushing will work in the larger hole and just get it to match the thread pattern.Just remember to use some thread seal and not over tighten it yourself.
