I just saw the light!

Long time no post here, but I have been tinkering with my Comanche that I traded my YJ for. This thing has been an absolute blast, but the renix system is starting to get a little glitchy and this thing is just plum worn out. Here's a pic for those that are curious.

I have been racking my brain trying figure out what to do, when it hits me. I have a mostly unmolested 95 YJ that my wife has no need for any more. The biggest thing I want to maintain out of my Manche are the axles. They are Dana 44s with 5.13 gears and a lock right in the front and spool in the rear. They also have chromolys all the way around.

This is the YJ

My goal is to swap the axles and full hydro steering in to the YJ with a SOA and run 35s for the time being. Of course being a trail only rig, I doubt I will stay with 35s for too awfully long.

I am for sure doing it, just have to take the big first step and start tearing the YJ apart. I will get some more detailed pics of both when I get a chance. Been working some crazy hours here lately.

Well "mostly unmolested". It has a body lift and 2.5" susp lift with 31" tires. Everything else is stock.

It is a 95 with 125,xxx miles and very very little rust. It's almost a shame to make a trail rig out of it, but I could not sell the dang thing for $2300 because it needs 5th gear fixed and the exhaust welded up.

I think you should give me the YJ and you can keep playing with the Manche! They actually both look sweet. You have some time and money into the Manche.

Actually I don't have much time at all and not a whole lot of money into the comanche. I traded a worn out YJ on 33s for it. But someone at one point in time did put a lot of money and time in to it. It has a lot of good parts and was built very well, it is just worn out.

That and the fact that I miss the open top and short wheel base made it a no brainer to swap the axles and other misc. parts in to the YJ.
