I guess its bye for now

Well folks, due to life's craziness these days, I have no choice but to sell my 89.
I would like to say THANK YOU to all that have contributed and guided me in this adventure. Hopefully, some time in the future, I will acquire another YJ. Love these jeeps, simple, go anywhere, fun to drive, easy to work on. It doesn't get any better.

To the Mods, sorry this wasn't technical, it's where I spent 95% of my time.

Roger

Sorry to see the YJ go. I have been pissing cash too. It sucks. X2 with Carracer. Don't dump the forum because the Jeep is gone.

Old4x- yes I did, it runs like a champ right now. After tuning the weber with the vac gauge, it pulls really good. It is a set back, really don't want to, but it's a must.
I'll find something at a later date and go from there,I've been bitten to hard by the bug. Besides, I can watch all of you build your Jeeps and pick what I want to do next.

It took me 30 years after I sold my favorite Jeep before I bought another one. Don't wait as long as I did.

Just get a WJ to hold you over till you get another YJ. I'm driving a WJ for the time being. Once my YJ is up and running in about 40 years, the WJ goes to my dad. He's letting me use it, agreement is that I maintain and mod it.

I gotta say, I'm getting a WJ for myself. These things are pretty sweet. Even my mom wants one.

I have a Chevy Trailblazer that I use for work, but thanks for the reassurance. A co-worker of mine drives a WJ and he has it all fixed up, looks really nice.

It's really hard to beat a Chevy in most cases. WJs can be really nice when you get the limited, something about the *** heater in the winter is just nice.

What are you thinking for the next round with a Jeep? Possibly a JK or something similar? Or another YJ?

I will go with another yj. I love the carb, yes I'm older and it's what I grew up with. Not only that, but it just doesn't get any easier than a yj.

GOOD NEWS, GOOD NEWS, GOOD NEWS- the YJ is staying in the family. It's funny how things work out in the end for the better. Now all I have to do is get the 4:10 axles under it ! Anyone want to come help ?

Got rid of the Trailblazer, which started to have some not so good issues.
