I got a seat belt issue

Alright guys, as part of my jeep restoration project I took off my front seat belts. The driver side seat belt wond it self in way to much. So now I can not get it to release the seat belt so I can reinstall it. I am not sure what to do here. I have played it with is, put screw drivers in it, but nothing helps. Got any suggestions?

You have to make sure the seat belt is straight up and down before you can pull it out. place it in the area where it should be installed, in the same position it was before you took it out, then try to pull it out. You might have to play with it at different angles to get it to come out.

I fixed my seat belt issue. I had to break a piece of plastic off the back part of the factory seat belt. Then use a flat heat to release the break. It still works and reinstalled. Not sure how safe it will be, so I might invest in new belts in the next couple of months.
