Met some buddies there about a month ago. It's still a dump! But Capt. Nemo's is still good. And the girls look better. Even though there clothed...LOL

I found a set of 32" tires on craigslist today. $200 and they come on some black d window wheels. They're in good shape, so the plan is to put the 32's on the canyons that I have, move those over to my Cherokee. Put the 33's from the Cherokee onto the wrangler...then sell the 15x10 d windows and the 30x9.5's. The 32's just aren't wide enough to be on a 10" rim, and I really like the way the rims on my Cherokee look on the wrangler.

Should be able to make a little money by the time I'm finished too

Well, the day after I picked up new shocks and got them installed I drove it to work and instantly decided that the Cherokee was going to get driven a lot less.

2 days later, I was pulling into a party store and my shifter fell to the left and hit me in the knee. Got it home and popped the hood and found the drivers side motor plate in 2 pieces...the majority of which was no longer attached to the motor.

Ordered up the brown dog mount for the drivers side and got the broken bolts out of the block with the welder.

I have no concerns at all about the brown dog plate. Its extremely thick and connects with 7 bolts total.

Haven't driven my xj in weeks .

I decided to keep the 10" steelies on my xj and sold the 30's on the canyons for $300. So the extra money covered the brown dog plate and I'm still right around 2g's total.

Next on the list is a new windshield frame and new glass. The bottom of mine is rotted beyond repair and my windshield is cracked.

This is my second attempt at body work. I cut out and patched one lower panel on my old f250, and I figured I couldn't make this look any worse than it already did...so I went for it. I could have easily covered it with a set of full guards, but this was pretty much free and I had time to kill.

Going to get a 1" daystar body lift and put the 1/2" boomerangs on...then search for a set of 35" mud tires for it. They'd fit now, but I don't want to have to worry about rubbing.

I was looking at selling this and getting a Polaris rzr, but the wife said no...so I'll keep playing with this until I can get her talked into it

I started to get a little concerned about not having my spare tire with me, and it wouldn't fit on the stock carrier...so I built a swing out for it.

All scrap 2x2, 7/8" grade 8 bolt for the pivot. It's not done yet, but it'll work for now.









The hub came from a bearing job on my wife's explorer a few months ago. Thought it might come in handy, so I tossed it in the scrap pile in case I decided to build something like this.

Few new things I've done...

Got sick of looking at the rust on the rear tailgate, so I covered it up with some scrap



Decided to fix rear frame rust. Cut some plates out and welded them up.





1" prothane body lift going on whenever it comes in. Working on building a crossmember tomorrow and getting my bumper back on.

Next up is some rocker protection and repair. Got a new windshield frame, just need glass. Also, finally adding thr trailer wiring harness since I no longer have to worry about pulling the entire rear half of the jeep off with my tiny utility trailer

Long time since I've updated, but its been sitting in the garage since November. I decided to swap an aw4 in since the throw out bearing and clutch and a few synchro's were on their way out...quickly.

No pictures yet, but I have it installed and wired. Now I just have to pick up a few small things and I'll have it back on the road.

Great job on the body work! Also that's a steal for $1k, you can sell your hard top and doors, get 1k right there = free jeep!

I know your plan is to go with 35s, are you going to keep stock axles? Looks great btw with 33s and body lift!!
