HP 44 install problems.

I'm putting a HP44 in the front of my YJ. its fullwidth out of a 79 F250. when I got it, it was setup with 1/2 outers, and 5x5.5 bolt pattern, which is what I need.

It didn't have flat top knuckles so I got a set of GM flat tops and chevy small bearing spindles/brakes/caliper mount to use with it. couldn't find any ford flat tops, so I went the easy route and got some GM ones.

started installing everything and I've run into a little snag, well a couple really.

the 4340 axle shafts I have won't fit through the knuckle. the hole in the GM knuckles is DEFINITELY smaller than the hole that was in the ford knuckles I had.

is my only solution to get some ford knuckles??

I read up a little using this page, http://77cj.littlekeylime.com/flatop_knucles.html

and I don't see anywhere where it says the ford shafts shouldn't fit through the chevy knuckle. is this just a problem because of the 4340's?
