i know what you mean i used to have a light bar over the windshield and it had to go after the first lift transformation

how do you like the hi lift on the hood?? i thought about getting the mount in q-tech that has the lights also..

I fabbed up the brackets from some leftover steel. Works great, I was a bit concerned about stress on the cowl welds, but I wheel the crap out of my heep and in 2 years no signs of fatigue. I like it because it keeps it out of the way. I didn't want to do the fence post bracket/roll cage mount because in an accident I didn't want the hi-lift crushing the back of my head in.

The only real drawback is it's a bit heavy and since I painted the rig I'm a little more careful about scratches in the hood. It can be a pain to mount after using it.

Thanks, The buildup never ends. I am starting to look into importing Swedish Volvo portal axles (better than Unimogs ) to the US. Will be posting more info soon

looks good man.... what engine size and gears are you runnin? did you trim the fenders?

95 yj 6" lift, 34" truxs mts

2005 WK Limited 5.7L Hemi. 2" day star lift awaiting tires and wheels for installation.

4.2L with a motorcraft carb. (really wanna get a howell TBI kit for it) running 4.10gears. lockrite up front and LS in the rear. trimmed the fenders about an inch to get the TJ flares on.

3" body lift w/ sagging springs and bald 32x11.5x15 dunlop m/t on 15in eagle wheels....
