New Tires?

This is my YJ after a 2.5" RE lift and 1" shackle lift. I want new tires but these 30x9.50 have too much tread life left in them to just take them off. I am also unsure about what size to get. I would really like some 32x11.50 but I am don't know with all the flex that they will clear the body. I also don't know how it will be on the highway with at 2.5L. That I am not too worried about.

I really don't have any pics, but will get some soon. I've been working on this and a CJ project for two years and haven't really wheeled much. The tires rub in the back of the fender in the front (flatfendered) but not the rear (cut for TJ flares). That's on stock springs though. I'm going this weekend to grab some waggy fronts and stretch it 4" and lift it 2". I'm thinking that will cure the front rubbing problems. It is full width with 3.5" backspacing. I want to tuck the tires back in a little down the road with either H1 or H2 wheels. The steering has been fixed to a crossover and hysteer setup since then.

Well I don't have any lift just yet, but alot of people ask about fitting 31's on stock springs so I thought I'd post my pics.

No lift on stock rims with 225/75/15's

No lift on canyon rims with bfg 31x10.5/15's (washers in the steering stops so they dont rub) They look smaller than I thought they'd be. I bought them used with about 30,000 on them so they aren't a true 31 inches. They are a huge improvement IMO and just fine with me!

Saving up for a 2.5 RE standard lift

Oly, your springs seem to be in VERY good condition. They still look flat.
If your springs were tired, I bet the tires would rub like crazy.

I don't rub on the road at all even going over huge potholes or speedbumps. I just put them on so I haven't had a chance to see how it fairs in the woods but I imagine it will rub when I flex it a bit. I also haven't run with anyone in the back. After this weekend we'll see if I get rubbage with a few people in it.

I think the previous owner replaced one of the front spring packs and I just put new shocks on the back last week. Being that it is a 95, and I dont think it was ever off road until I bought it, the springs are pretty decent for now until I can save for the lift.
