how to wake up my 258

I have already done the team rush, weber 34, msd,. I was wondering if there were any other tricks to wake up my 258 a bit.

4.0 head swap gets a good horse power gain. I looked into it for a while but decided I would spend the same money and just do a motor swap

Aside from tuning that carb, installing a distributer from the pre-computer years '78-'81 will really wake that engine up.

If necessary a couple of jets say 20 bucks at most, the dizzy 50 bucks= good to go!

If he has nuttered it he lost the benefit of the timing advance that was available with the computer.
If he has not nuttered it then in effect he has by disabling its ability to come out of the warm up mode by installing the DGEC.

For the computer to function it required 9-11 switches,motors,sensors to be fully functioning for it to operate as designed.

Once he or anyone performs the nutter, removes or fails to maintain any of those devices you need the amount of advance lost to be replaced.

Either open up the slots on the advance head or install the pre-computer dizzy.
