how much damage?

hey, i've still been searchin for a k5 blazer for my 350 swap, found a 1989 w/ a 350 tbi, 50K miles...http://charlotte.craigslist.org/car/416820427.html although the truck hit a telephone pole doin about 35mph...how much damage do you think was caused to the motor? any opinions on it would be greatly appreciated.


'90 I6 258 w/ Weber 32-36 Carb.
32" BF M/T's with cragar rims
5" BDS springs, MORE greasable shackles, XJ driveshaft, AA SYE kit, RE SS brake lines. Bilstein 5150's, 255/70 valving all around, 14" travel in front, 10" in rear.

Hard to tell from the pics. But all the damage looks like its in the front corner.
The full size chevys have a lot of extra room under the hoods in the corners so i would be surprised if it even touched the motor.

im thinkin about givin the guy a call, maybe i could talk him down a bit...from the pic it doesn't look like it hit too hard b/c the front wheels don't look messed up.

seems good if you talk him down a bit id say its worth a grand especialy if he doesnt have proof of the crate motor

I'd grab that up man. Even if you do not get to use the motor for some reason, you could get back what you have into it by parting etc.

I would say the motor is not hurt but I have only been in the body shop business 30 +years LOL

88yj, incubus off road wheels,32"tsl radial super swampers,2.5" pro comp lift ,kc lights,rock lights,8000lb.mile marker winch,best top bikini top,nutterbypass,lock right locker in the rear,TJ flares,poison spyder rock rails,home made front flat fenders,Skyjacker nitro 8000 shocks,procomp rear bumper,CB.more to come.
92yj,black with flame job.I have now added a 2003 wrangler,2"BB,dick cepek wheels ,trail armor all four corners,33" BFG-AT's.life is good.
