How many CFM for my 360 amc?

I found a pre cleaner that I want to use at the top of my snorkel intake. But its only rated for 170 cfm. Is this going to work or choke the life out of my small block amc 360?

here's a formula for figuring CFM's

cubic inches X max RPM
3456

with that formula, at 4000rpm, your engine will need roughly 417 cfm.

NOTE: this formula figures cfm at 100% Volumetric efficiency, so you could technically get by with a little less cfm, sense most engines operate below 100% effeciency.

Wow, that sucks! Any chance do you know what a 3" pipe will flow?
