Very very loud. I have driven past tons of Jeeps lately, and some YJs, and they haven't been nearly as loud as mine, in fact most are quiet around here.

Exhaust leak helps me sound like a beast goin' down the road

Especially with the top off mine is very loud... between the worn MT/R's, wind noise, whine of the 4 angry squirrels hard at work, tranny "whirring" noise, random squeaks, rattles, and clangs here and there, shes one loud girl! Oh and not to mention the fact that I usually turn the radio up loud enough to hear it over all of that other noise!! Loud and proud, its the way to be!

Mine is pretty loud, but thats what I wanted. 94 YJ with a Chevy 355 with 882 heads, 72cc chambers, roller tappet Cam (comp cams) 455. Jacobs pistons, chrome moly rings, forged crank, x rods and clevite bearings, HP oil pump, 650 webber 4bbl and vette intake from 1969. Long tube headers, delta series flowmasters. With no lift gate on my hardtop it can get really loud.

Mine isn't loud but it isn't quiet either.. I have headers and nice sounding flow master mufflers.I drive it everyday. there's more noise from the top and having the doors off then anything else. Its a Jeep thing and you got to love it... and talking on the Phone forget it, I even tried the top selling noise canceling blue tooth head set and still doesn't work well when your on the Highway..lol

Mine is very loud, 33" Baja Claws don't help and a Magnaflow muffler. My son gave me a Rockford Fosgate amp with multiple speakers, I can listen to music going 70mph with the top off! I have a Jawbone Era blue tooth head set for my cell phone and I can carry on a conversation while driving with no background noise on the other end. The best I have found by far. I LOVE the noise!!

Mines' not bad. Actually, today on the freeway was the quietest I've ever heard it, but I don't have any of the soft top gear on.

Pretty much just wind noise, with some tire noise on the freeway:
  • relatively quiet, top off, surface streets (45mph or less) --conversations possible, some shouting at times.
  • noisy with the top off (65+mph) -- "What?"
  • loud as hell with the soft top on (particularly 55+mph) --"WHAT???!"
  • deafening with the windshield folded down (35+mph) -- conversation? not gonna happen.
