How big of tires can i run?

I have a 1987 yj with a BDS 2.5 inch SUA lift with .5 inch shackle lift running 31s right now. I have tj flares just have not installed them yet. How big of tires could i run with this setup? what if i added a daystar 1 inch body lift? thanks.

no problem. even with .5" shackles you should clear them with proper bump stops

That sir, is a nice jeep!

I am looking at doing the samething. 2.5 with a 1 inch shackle, tj, but with 31s to start since they are already paid for.

Do you have a pic not flexed out? Thanks.

That two-tone black/OD green color scheme is sweet. Did you paint it yourself?

Thank you, I started out with 31's but came across 4 pretty much brand new 33" BFGs for $400 with rims ( I hate the rims, going to get some new ones.) so I jumped all over it. But, the 31's looked crazy small after I put on the TJ flairs.

Thats what I am afraid of, that the 31s will look small. They are goodyear kevlars and I have heard they run a little more true to size than other 31s, so maybe it wont be so bad. I will just run them even if they look a little goofy. I bought 235s about 6 months before I bought the 31s, so I am not buying a third set within a year! Thanks for the pic, love the paint but agree with the wheels...gotta go!

Slightly longer booms front and rear, 3.5" Black Diamond springs, TJ flares and a 1" Daystar BL.

These are 33" x 10.5" BFG KM2's and with the TJ flares they look a little small.

I noticed that too while I was measuring. They got replaced later that day.
