How bad did i mess up?

So I am putting the main bearing cap support bar on my engine and I broke off one of the bolts. Is this as bad as I think is is, or can this fly?

Personally I wouldn't let it go. I'd replace it

Yeah, a guy here said they were the same as the cap bolts. So I tried that. And the first three worked fine. So I ordered some from Chrysler, should be two weeks or so. And I was just at pick an pull and ripped an oil pan off a 95xj 4.0..... Nope, different. Looks like I'm waiting.

Do you have the 4.2 or the 4.0. My 4.2 when rebuilding didn't have the plate

The plate is called a girdle. Offered in around 98 and up or so. The early engines did not have them per 98 +/-..

Take your choice but you can run without with no problems. I don`t run one in my strokers and it is a non -issue.

If you want to sell it Ill put on my parts shelf for a future build.

I already paid for the new bolts lol. I'm goin to tinker with the broken one and see what I can come up with. But thanks for all the suggestions. I will fix it properly. If I can somehow make the broken one work again. It's just another trick in the book.
