hey guys,
having another problem. Was I press my e-brake down, sometimes, my Jeep will still roll a bit.

How would I go about adjusting to cure this problem?

On my '88 there is a 2-into1 device just inside the frame rail on the driver's side about at theront of the rear wheel. Just WD-40/PB Blaster the threads, and then tighten the cables. Check to make sure you don't overtrightne them and have the brakes dragging all the time.

umm

There should be a slot on the back of the drums with a rubber plug.
pull the plug out and theres a wheel inside with notches.
you can turn it with a flathead although they do make a tool for that. screwdriver works good for me.
also heard you can have them sef adjust on some vehicles but going in reverse and hitting the brakes a few times.

.
This should be done first before adjusting the cable tentioner. If U can't get into the backing plate hole easyly enough, then U can just pull the drum and hand adjust them. Might be a good time to put on new shoes anyway,... could be most of your prob.

If your cable had inches of slack in it like mine did, adjusting the hardware at the drum won't do anything for you.

After inspecting my rear drum brakes, i found several problems:

1. The drum itself wasn't fitting snug on the shoes, i did what was mentioned above and used a flat head and adjusted the screw so the shoes expanded a bit.

2. As for the e-brake, I noticed that on the rear passenger side, where the cable feeds into the housing, there is a metal piece wrapped around the cbale at that opening which kinda has latches that keep the cable in place, basically, it broke loose and my cable was extending outside the housing (sorry, explanation is probably bad). All I had to do was readjust that latch so that if you pull on the cable from the outside, it won't move.

Thanks again guys for the help.
