Joe, will your wife marry me? I might have to talk my wife into it, but it's worth a try.... (tell her I'm a 4.88 kinda guy)

Yeah Joe, to sum it up. I was working on the fuel pump, pulled the outlet side off, tightened it back down, or what I THOUGHT was tightened back down. Drove it for probably 50 miles or so before we took it to the woods, and the line let loose 3 miles back into the trail. Needless to say, I check, re-check, and re-check my re-check now. I also always have a fire extinguisher with me. The guys I wheel with have never let me live that one down. Needless to say, nobody has beat me yet destroying a Jeep while wheeling it. I can laugh at myself for doing it now, but it hurt my pride when it happened.

39" Irok right down to the rim, lifted the front of the Jeep on that one side axle.

To me its not a "shame" photo but others might think so

Jason.

No sir, it burnt too hot to trust the frame IMHO. It melted the aluminum hurst shifter, so I figured it burnt hot enough to cause some frame distortion. I salvaged it to a buddy who parted it out and I bought the 87 I currently own.

Step 1. Buy new Jeep
Step 2. Buy biggest fire extinguisher I could find!

This should be a lesson to anyone who doesn't own a fire extinguisher. We all need one. I own 2!
