Hose thats under the heater core hose
Can anybody tell me the name of the hose that runs from behind the carb to under the heater core hose that inserts into the firewall? This hose is leaking quite a bit on my 88 Jeep, and I need to know what to ask for when going to the parts store. Thanks.

there are two heater core hoses.. one in and one out.. tell them which one it is.. from the thermostat to the core or the core to the intake.

Thanks for the help. I hope its not over 20 bucks for that hose. Fortunately, I think I can change that one out myself.
Recently, I thought I had a bad water pump and ended up taking it the mechanic and getting charged 79 bucks for simply changing a hose. |

if it is the one from the thermostat to the heater core, it is around $18.. it has a 90 degree bend in it.. you can use bulk heater hose, but i prefer to have the right one.

I went ahead and got my hose today, however, the one I got was 5/8 bulk heater hose. When I told the guy at Autozone what I needed the house for, he just brought out the bulk heater hose and I didn't argue with him. Total with two hose clamps, the hose, and power steering fluid came to approximately $ 8.50. Thanks for your help.
