THANKS GUYS!
I got the first one and it's still in the box because I can't aim it towards the windshield.

I'm thinking of getting this one:

It looks like it screws on right over the vent grill using the factory holes.
Anyone use this one?

I have "the other one" hood scoop and it got in the way of the wipers when the windshield down so turning it around (facing the windshield) solves another problem.

Sorry to bump up an old thread but why turn the scoop around? If you wanted more airflow it seems like the air would be almost forced down the vent with the scoop forward.

Not trying to hijack the thread, but I have a HUGE K&N on top of my Holley, I am looking into getting hood louvers....my question is...how do you keep the water off of the engine, I can see if you turn them around so it isn't forcing air in while you are driving, but what if you are parked?

I probably just lets the water in. Water hitting your engine isn't going to ruin it but you might get like mineral stains from evaporated water.

Yea but when faced towards the windshield.....there is almost like a vortex made there while driving....so more air is forced down there off of the windshield when facing backwards rather then forwards.....im going to mount mine forward when i get my jeep back on the road

I had the Tape on one and it work okay facing forwards. But teh tape wore off after a lot off offroading and interstate traveling so it now sits in a box in my garage.

I'll be buying the screw in one next for sure.

I mounted mine backwards, and there is a noticeable increase in air when it is on vent. I got the kentrol one, It cost $50 but it is made out of metal and is powdercoated instead of being plastic

They are great for keeping the snow out of your vent.

Until it gets stolen...
