Whatever gets the job done, I would hate to drive it like that down the highway though.

True, might have a little more wind noise but hey, it's stylin'.

Interested in making more of those and selling them on the Swap Shop?

I just use a big blue tarp for mine .. 2 buckle straps on the front, 2 buckle straps on the rear .. and bungies holding the sides down .. leave the doors in place, and then there is very little leakage from the rare rain-storm

I would make more, but they are a very specialized thing. I had to to some extreamly accurate measuring. I wouldnt want to wear out my micrometer or my lazer cutter just to make a few bucks...lol. Maybe next week I'll find some ply-wood and make a hard top...

That's great.

My dad told me a story about his first car when he was a poor teen. He had a 1958 Willys Jeep with a top speed of 50 mph and a plywood top. How much of that I should believe I'm not sure.

I dunno, but I think my jeep is geared to high right now. It won't go above 3,000 rpm in 5th gear, and sometimes not above 60mph. The fastest I could get it going was 75, but it was windy, and I was running into aerodynamic issues.
