Hitch/wiring help

I know the bumper with receiver hitch should not be that hard to put on but is the wiring for the trailer plug easy to install? Do I have to splice into wires? or is it like a truck that you just have to but a kit?

any help will be appreciated!

I purchased the Hoppy (I think) brand Jeep trailer wiring kit from a local Agri-Supply store. It has the weather-proof connections that plug into the existing wiring harness in the tail lights. You access the wiring harness plugs from behind the splash guards in the rear fender wells. Took me about 15 minutes to route the wires and make the connections. No cutting, splicing or soldering.
