Help with the shakes!

All,

1994 Jeep wrangler, 100,000 miles. I have owned it since new, never done much to it except for general maintenance. Recenty it started to shake while decelerating, this holds true weather it is in gear or not, and even if the brakes are not applied, just slowing down causes the shake. I checked the U-Joints and they seemed OK. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Jon

it could possibly be a weight has fallen off the drive shaft, causing it to be out of balance, but make sure your checking the u-joints while your rig is in neutral and e-brake off, so you can feel the play. otherwise, the trans loads up the drive shaft, and you won't be able to move it even if the joints are bad.

also might be the steering stabilizer, although that would shake accelerating or decelerating.
