Help with non tilt steering column

I'm trying to fix my 87's non tilt steering column.

How do I get this plastic piece off in the pics?

I have all the bolts and hazard light switch, turn signal arm and switch, ignition cylinder removed. Do I just pull and pry harder?

I don't want to break the plastic.

This is info on the tilt, but the upper part is the same.

Those are just pics from another tilt writeup. Mine has 4 hex head bolts that I removed.

Now I can say the non tilt is way different from the tilt. I just pried on it till it broke free. (and broke all the hidden mounting screws) Turns out on the non tilt that part is screwed on from the back.
So on a non tilt you would have to take the entire plastic assembly off, then unscrew the front piece, to get to the internals.
Now I need to buy a new steering column sleeve, lol.
