Keep in mind the electric lets you re-program quick with any tire or gear swap.

Yes, But this eliminates the possibility of implementing the CJ speedometer. Unless they make a clone that is electric. I am building a custom dash and I am trying to give it a more classic look.
Thanks again for everyone's help. I LOVES ME SOME JEEP FORUM

Are the stock YJ one's so far off that they do not read accuratley enough that they need to be replaced. After all we are running 15+ year old rigs not Indy Cars. And like me your running a 4 cyl.

Are the existing ones not working, or is it more of a want than a need.

It's not about the accuracy. It's about the build. One of the things I've embraced about the jeep as how you can make it your own. That's all I'm doing.

BTW. I can run the CJ speedo. I just had to buy a VSS for a 91 YJ. It has both electrical and mechancal speedometer connectors.
It ended up being this part.

Now all I need is the correct speedo cable... geeez!
