Help! I can't see! Headlights OUT!

Well, I just had a very scary situation in the "new" Jeep. I just purchased a 92 Wrangler, and for some reason the headlights stopped working. The bulbs aren't blown, and the parking lights still work. Anyone have an idea? I've done a little research, and the most I've been able to dig up is that the headlight switch may be broken. Any truth to this?

Oddly enough, my battery died before this happened. After I had a friend jump it, I noticed the headlights were out. HELP!

I had this happen to me once. I just flicked the high beam switch and everything worked fine. It has never happened to me again.

i had this problem once before also. it started out that when i turned my headlights on they wouldn't come on until i actually flicked the dimmer switch. this went on (on occasion) for about a month until one night they didn't work at all. i replaced the dimmer switch and it took care of the problem. hope this helps

Thank you so much! The headlight hi beam trick worked. I guess the switch has some kind of automatic breaker to it? Anyhow, hopefully it won't happen again. But, just in case... now I know!
