help with homemade snorkel

can someone please hook me up with a parts lists for a snorkel on a 95 yj. 2.5l. i been researching and just can't get any luck. just a parts list and maybe some advice if nessesary. i think i know how to actually set i up. i jus don't wanna make a thousands trips to the home depot.

most people think you can just snorkle the engine and be done but thats not true

you have to seal EVERYTHING that can go bad aka tranny
unless you like changing the fluids

but just a heads up and btw search some on it

hes right, milk jugs (gallon) work well for altenator, and also fuse box. Use ABS piping and you don't need any piping w/a bigger width than 2.5 in. Use a lot of RTV sealant.

Don't forget to seal the electrical either. I would also run my vent lines up higher as well.

the milk jugwould be more of a splash guard rather than water proofing right

He has a lot to do if he wants to submerge the jeep in water. It was more a splash gaurd but with the right tools (ducttape and rtv) i am sure that would keep some water out. Just depends how much water he is talking about crossing...

Is there any problem with heat when you seal up the alternator like that? those things have vents, i am just picturing that being something you do right before you go in the water.
