Help! Freezing my arse off..

Hello,

I need some help please. I bought a 1991 Jeep wrangler a few months ago. It has half doors and a hard top but not windows up front. I have called a few jeep online stores and they say that soft top door skins/frames don't work with hard top but I can't afford the very expense full doors that will work with a hard top.

Has anyone had any success with door skins working with hard top? Any advice?
I am very very new to jeeps so please remember that...lol

You need the Bestop Super Top uppers. They are round in the back top corners and will fit a hard top.

Not:

You can probably find some for cheaper so ignore the price.

that is the exact same part number that an online jeep store gave me...he said that they would work albeit the doors won't shut correctly and it is not air tight. I am afraid to spend the money if they won't work...are you sure they will work? I don't care about the air tight part. Just to keep the wind and/or rain off of me....

Get full doors off Craigslist.

Yes the YJ soft uppers wont work with the hard top... You can get TJ soft uppers and fab them to fit...

See here..

If they are the YJ uppers, they won't work!!! there is huge gap and it stresses the door latch...I have tried!!

If you can't find full doors then you are better doing the TJ door conversion..but hey its your $$$.

Good luck

$750 http://www.bulldawgmfg.com/ixxocart/...87_95-2-1.html

Used to have them for $100 cheaper if you buy on Ebay but I don't see them there.

I was going to buy these, then I found a perfect color match on a set of full steel doors for $150 2 hours away. Worth the drive.

x2

I (and many others) have been down this road, the YJ uppers (rounded) will fit, but not function in the manner you are hoping.

Keep scrounging craigslist. I had the same problem and eventually scored a set of hard doors for 250. Try surrounding states. If you have to drive a bit to get it.. It'll be worth it.

The supertop uppers will not fit properly with a hardtop. You will need to modify tj uppers.

I did the exact same thing last year....froze it off so bad I still had frostbite in July. Got some full doors from a guy on craigslist from a cj this summer and they are the best ever. It was single digits this morning and I actually turned my blower speed to the middle level while going 65 down the interstate because I was actually getting a little toasty.
