You gave us a good amount of information to start with, but completely filling out your Jeep info in your profile will also help a lot.

First things first, give us a *detailed* summary of what goes on when you turn the key.

Does it spin, but not spark?
Do you get a clicking?
Does it fire, but won't fully start?
Have you tested to see if you're getting spark?
Have you tested to see if you're getting fuel?
Have you done a compression check?
Does the CEL turn on and off, or does it stay on?
If it stays on, what error code is it giving you?

We need more information before we can help.

(FYI, this isn't really *advanced* Jeep tech. That's more for advanced fab and unusual conversions and specialty projects. This should be in YJ tech. A mod can move it.)

Eh, we all gatta start somewhere. The whole "forum"/"troubleshooting" thing took me a bit to learn too, so I figure I'll try and pay it forward by teaching someone else how to ask for help.

My first time on the forum I was so excited that I figured out my oil pressure issue that I searched for "low oil pressure" on the forum and added my findings to all of them, figuring it would be useful for someone's search later on, not realizing many of the threads were like 3 years old and flooding people's inboxes, ha ha ha.

Imped, can you think of any other questions the OP should be answering.

What are you using for an underhood harness? Did you install the PDC from the donor jeep?

What year Cherokee 4.0L engine did you use? Meaning, what do you have installed for a Fly Wheel (year and drivetrain very important)?

Damn, I hoped this wasn't the answer to the question I asked. I really didn't. Your flywheel is not compatible with the rest of your drivetrain that you selected. It will not provide the correct pulses via the CPS for a OBDI equipped system that you have melded together. You need a fly wheel from a 4.0L from 91-95.

Many different years have different tone rings on the Fly wheel depending on the application. I certainly hope this is not your case. I hope that a '90 fly wheel is not supplying sensory info to a OBDI brain. Please report back your findings. Your rig is certainly a Frankenstein and I would like to know the outcome (as I suspect many others trying to do the same).
