Help 91 YJ will not start?

Went to start my Recently purchased yj this morning and it started up ran for a few Minutes fine. forgot something in the house when I came out it had died, I turned it over thinking it had just died because it was cold (it is -10 c here), ran for 30 seconds and died again, tried it again and no go Joe! Thinking that it had run out of gas and the gauge is reading wrong I got a jerry can and added some gas. Still no go. Checked the spark Dirty plugs but great spark! Pulled the fuel filter to make sure it hadn't plugged. no plug! Turned the key on with out the filter and only a trickle of gas has come out. Does this mean m fuel filter is shot! Any help here would be great!!

I would start with putting a fuel pressure gauge on it to see what psi your getting, sounds like you might have a bad fuel pump.
