The biggest thing you are going to have to do is widen the hole the blower motor sticks thru in the firewall. NOT a big deal.

Do the heater core while you're in there.
Not that expensive and much hotter heat

===Old thread bump===
Well, I've searched for about 30-45 minutes and can't find the answer. Does the heater blower motor upgrade apply to "newer" yj's. I appears that everyone doing them has a pre-92 model. I don't have great heat, but it does work and I'd hate to spend time and money fixing something that isn't broken(and can't be "upgraded") . Thanks!

That is correct, newer YJ's already have the larger motor. If your heat is lacking, you'll have to inspect the HVAC system to make sure its working correctly, and maybe flush and/or replace the heater core.

FWIW I was just searching for info on this and it seems that the blower to ask for is 1973 blazer with 350 and a/c. Kragen gives that as part #PM105 but they also say it fits a bazillion other vehicles.
Any feed back on this from anyone?
