My defrost doesnt work (wich sux when its freezing rain and im trying to get to work) and it blows warm air for a little while and then doesnt really stay warm after that. Do you think it could be something else?

Blower motor and/or heater core, both very easy fixes, under an hours time.

When you say defroster, do you mean you do not have air coming out??? does the air come out on the heat setting, blowing to your feet, or no air at all???

The heater controls are conected by wire cables that sometimes come off.

Describe more basically what is happening and what settings are you trying at the time.

I have the heat cranked up on high and it puts a lot of air out of the vent but, there is just like a little trikle of air coming out on top of the dash. Could there be something in there that is stopping it up? I just boght it a month ago and the people put in a ne engine. Could that have something to do with it?

Yes, I belive the vac line going into the back of the heater helps the blend door move. You may want to get under there and try to manually move the door with the cable.
