Heater Core
Anyone know how to remove the heater core?....I've been trying to find some bolts or screws to get the plastic cover off....can't find any.

I think there are about 6 nuts on the engine side of the fire wall. I just replaced mine earlier in the winter and the job wasn't too bad. One of the nuts is located under the battery tray. Make sure you have some help pushing the heating unit back in at least until you get some of the nuts started.
If you were thinking of replacing the heater fan as well, make sure the parts store gives you the right one. I went to Autozone and got mine, took the heating assembly apart (had to get the job done in one day) and the fan assembly didn't fit. I will try to find a link of some pictures of the teardown. Otherwise, I will take some pictures of the nuts. Good luck. Scott |
