Heater Box Adjustment

In the process of some trouble shooting I removed the heater box/selector at the passenger side foot area. Where should it be adjusted to for proper operation? When the vent selector is all the way to the left what position should the door be in? At what point should the door begin moving and when the selector switch is all the way to the right where should the door be? This is a NON AC model

Thanks

Keith

I didn't see anything on the proper adustment of the box and lever. I see lots of info on the operation and how to fix gummed up wires, but nothing on How to properly set the doors/wires.

Check out this thread from the FAQ page. On around page 3 there is a complete description on how the heater controls and vacum actuator work to open and close the two doors. The thread is old so many of the pictures are not there, but the info and descriptions should be sufficient. If that doesn't work and you have a specific question then post it back.

which items are these referring to? passenger side vent, drivers side vent, inside vent, vent door inside hood intake?
