Just went through that today...used the hose from the compression tester kit, took the schrader valve out, set my compressor at 40 pounds and hooked directly to the cylinder (thanks to Que and the CarGuy). Mine was blowing air through the exhaust valve and out the tailpipe.

Yea, i was thinking the same thing. It sat for 3 years with out moving, so i think the valve seals are just bad. I am going to buy a leak down tester and do it my self this week before pulling the head.

You don't need to buy it. You can get one from the tool loan program at any of the big parts store. Save yourself the $$$$ worth the fully refundable deposit on tools you rarely use.
