swap out the D35c for the Chrysler 8.25? Not gaining too much with this swap IMHO... not nearly worth it. The 8.25 isn't as good of an axle when compaired to a D44 or Ford 8.8. Also, aftermarket support (gears, lockers) isn't nearly as abundant in Chrylers axles as it is in Danas.

Anyway, 8.25's are found in many XJ's, they should be hard to come across. I'm not sure if they're found in low end ZJ/WJ's, but high end ones come with D44s.

yeha I wasn't sure about the 8.25 cause I haven't heard much about them.. I was just curious.

I'm actually looking for 80-84 Cherokee so I can mach up the front and rear with D44's and both the same bolt pattern and the Cherokee in these years have the drivers side drop.. and swaping both, both axles will be the same width. which if I swapped a ford 8.8" and the D44 front. they may not be the same width or bolt pattern or gear ratio.. hehe

I'm still researching lots so I'lll be more comfortable hehe

Thanks for the info
